That same year, Vice President Tanaka is believed to have been killed in a freak lab accident, and the two builders are still to this day missing. It is rumored that Miyamoto Tanaka hid access codes to the Red Queens Main Frame System. No pictures of the custom build exist and many doubt its existence. Until now...
Voltech Arcade Sticks and accessories - News

I'm taking my previous idea to make the welded on OEM style stick mount bracket to the next level and turning it into a bolt on solution. This would mean a couple of things.
1. I could make different mounting plates for different sticks and heights including (Sanwa, Seimitsu, Happ etc)

2. While they wont be available for my first run, the mounting holes will be pre drilled so you won't need it to use my custom plates but you can upgrade to it in the future once they become available.

3. You will be able to remove your stick without having to first remove all the buttons and art from your custom plates =D Tell me that's not Awesome!!!!

This might be old news and I might be the only one that cares but I just fitted the LS-32-02 PCB into my JLW and it works like a dream!!!! =D

All I need now is a JLW short shaft for mounting it to a metal panel and I'll be able to install it into any TE or V.S. sticks.
Anybody know if Sanwa already makes such a thing or if I need to make one myself?

I'm currently working on getting the measurements I need so if you guys have any panels you want to see made I am excepting donations or loaners to help speed things along.

Some of the best parts of Evo are the great variety of thigns to do/see/talk about while you’re there. While waiting around for the SF2 high-rollers tournament to start, I had a chance to talk with veteran arcade-stick maker Voltech from voltecharcadesticks.com. Being an amateur stick modder myself, I shifted our conversation from good footsie-options with Super Turbo Chun Li to arcade-stick making. I also wanted to have a quick talk with him about the Sticks For Joy foundation here

Here's an example of the Premium wiring I'm offering as an upgrade to the standard. I did this one for SKR member HG.

Here's another on I did for SRK member Thirst. Both are connected to a Joytron PCB and work with the 360, PS3 and PC.

Here's an example of the Multi-Console Tech-Flex wiring (This stick can work with any Console from the NES to the PS3)

Here's an example of the standard wiring

If you look closely you'll see I color coded the wires to match the default xbox button layout for (Red,Yellow,Green, Blue) and used different colors on the remaining buttons as well. This also makes it easier to re-wire if you ever need to take it apart. I can also do single color wiring ie all black etc or even different colored Tech-flex by request for an additional fee.

I charge $35 for the standard wiring

Hello everyone, Voltech here. I just wanted to show off my latest creation I'm calling the Amboyna Burl Vewlix 2P. I built on commission for a customer of mine. The case is 100% Ambouna burl, the worlds most expensive burl wood usually only seen on the dashboards of Rolls-Royce motor vehicles or in very thin sheets of veneer. This was built from 3 - 2 1/2"x12"x 8" solid blocks of highly figure Red Amboyna Burl. I also built a custom mounting plate out of of brushed aluminum as well as the base plate. It features 2 Sanwa JLF arcade sticks with white Mesh ball tops, 14 Sanwa 30mm snap in buttons, 2 24mm sanwa and 6 Seimitsu 24mm clear\white buttons on the back. It measures W-31"x L-9 12"x H-2 1/4" and weighs in at 13.5LBS. It will work on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. This is a one of a kind build and quite possibly the worlds most expensive arcade stick? So far my greatest accomplishment "in the arcade stick building world". I think she's beautiful, what do you think?

At 22" wide this is my biggest stick build to date. It will have the same basic dimensions as the VAS-HG slim only 11 wider. I'm also considering a 2P model in the future if I get enough interest,

Some things I may end up doing are to move the functions buttons ie start, select, and home to the top of the case. I'll wait and see if anyone is interested in this feature.

I plan to make the first 2 prototypes with a Sega and a Vewlix 8 button layout. The steel will be CRS and will be Powder-coated black. I have plans to make this in a brushed stainless steel in future builds. Let me know what you think?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00487567972260023098noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3515268921410958655.post-55569235826446022502011-06-09T14:27:00.001-07:002011-06-15T10:15:40.291-07:00Voltech Arcade Sticks photostream
