The people have spoken

So by popular demand I have decided to make a run of  5 Brushed Stainless Steel VAS-TE cases.

VAS-TE goes to the next level

I left out a few key details to prevent copycats =P
I've decided to make the frame a modular build so upgrades are as simple as replacing the sides.

VAS-T.E. Mock-up

Here's an example of what the VAS-T.E. might look like with the T.E. panel installed.
The Turbo Panel hole can be covered up easily by one of Art's Hobbies Custom Plexi tops.
This is a model of the VAS-T.E. with the optional 2 button on the side design and the optional wood trim mounts.
I'm going to make these in the Slim Lite size and possibly the Elite (wood trim) The Universal model is still up in the air at this time but if I get enough requests will be added to the roster.

I just want to clairify that I am in no way affiliated or in a partnership with Madcatz. I just happen to make a case that will allow the T.E. panel to easily work with my design. I believe this will give new options to current T.E. owners as well as the DIY\Arcade Stick modding community.

New Voltech Arcade Stick Model in the works VAS-T.E.

The VAS-T.E. is going to be a drop in replacement for the T.E. Stick. Just insert the whole T.E. top panel (stick, buttons, art and wiring as it sits in your T.E.) then install your own PCB (or use the T.E. PCB) and you got a new case shell for a fraction of the cost of a new custom case.  This is a project I am currently working on. See my Slide Show Gallery and imagine your T.E. at home in one of these cases - Voltech

New VAS-HG Steel Frame (Early drawing)

Well heres what I got so far, it's just an early mock up but so far is seems pretty solid. It's made from 16ga Steel, 1/2" PVC sheet, 1/16" 1/8" Plexiglass with optional wood or Carbon fiber side trim.

The advantage of this new design is that I can make the top removable and you can swap out the button layout

VAS-HG Redesign in the works

So I just got off the phone with the new metal shop guy I'm going to be working with. He basically told me I needed a new design because I was doing it all wrong. This guy builds metal boxes for a living so I listened (even though I think my design was pretty solid). Anyway I'm going to probably redesign the VAS-HG (not the look but the way it fits together). I'm contemplating an all steel frame and Shell cobmo where the mounting plate and button layouts are built into the frame it's self and the shell fits over just as it does now. I'll still have the option to add wooden or Carbon Fiber Side trim as well leave it blank for the Lite model. It should will even work with the current model if all goes as pland.

This is all up in the air as of now so don't get too excited lol But yeah change is coming!

Chin Li Super Shenanigans

Here's a little video I threw together a little while back using my new VAS-HG CFE 2.0

Alright Day one!

I'll try and keep this Blog up to date and get more pics up as soon as I get the hang of it lol. I added the price list to a dedicated page so next I'll try and get the Slide show gadget working correctly (If I can get Flickr and Blogger to play nice).

Until I get it worked out you can see my previous work on my Flickr account
